Perched dramatically above the sweeping expanse of St Ouen's Bay, La Moye Golf Club offers a links experience woven into Jersey's rugged coastline. Renowned for its challenging holes and breathtaking sea views, this club has a rich history of welcoming golfers to test their skill against the elements.
Established in 1902, La Moye Golf Club occupies a prime position on the gorse-clad cliffs of Jersey’s western edge. It is one of the Channel Islands' most distinguished links courses, having hosted European Tour qualifying events and drawing golfers seeking a classic seaside challenge. The course's design makes strategic use of the natural contours and exposed location, ensuring that the prevailing winds play a significant role in every round. The par-3 fifth hole, in particular, is famed for its direct gaze out to sea, demanding precision and nerve. Beyond the championship 18 holes, the club also provides a more relaxed nine-hole option, catering to a broader range of play without compromising on the coastal atmosphere and quality.
Golfers can anticipate an invigorating round across 18 championship links holes, where the wind and undulating terrain provide a genuine test of skill. Almost every hole presents a panoramic sea view, often stretching towards the distant French coast on a clear day. For a quicker or less demanding game, the nine-hole course offers a pleasant alternative. Afterwards, the clubhouse provides a vantage point to reflect on your game over refreshments. A pro shop is available on site for equipment and club hire, and staff are generally helpful with local golfing insights.
La Moye Golf Club is situated in the parish of St Brelade, specifically in the area known as La Moye, overlooking St Ouen's Bay. It is accessible by car, with ample parking available. The club is a short drive from St Brelade's Bay, known for its sheltered beach and dining options. The striking coastal landscape of Jersey's west, including views of Corbière Lighthouse, is very much a part of the club’s immediate surroundings.
Ensure you book your visitor tee time well in advance, particularly during the busier months from May through September, and remember to have your handicap certificate ready for the championship course.
The course offers a different challenge in every season, but late spring and early autumn often provide more settled weather conditions while still capturing the island's coastal charm.
Book visitor tee times in advance, especially May–September. Pro shop on site, club hire available.

Course in excellent condition, great food and wine and the current captain took the time to personally welcome our group of 15. The club house was refurbished last year to a standard seen in 5 star premises.
What a golf course ⛳️, probably the best course I’ve played in jersey so far 🇯🇪 Shape of the course is incredibly good, views are just amazing, green keepers are probably the best 💪 I highly recommend this place
Lunched there for 1st time in years. Good food. Serving staff too quick to want to clear plates when some on same table still eating. No plates should be cleared until everyone has finished eating. Not all the serving staff oresent plates correctly. Food should be placed from the right side of the diner. Guests shouldn't have to bob from one side to the other because staff not trained correctly.
