Why visit

The Écréhous trip is one of the most extraordinary things you can do in Jersey: a half-hour blast across open sea ending on a sandbar between fishermen's huts halfway to France.

The full story

Jersey Seafaris run high-speed RIB (rigid inflatable boat) tours from St Helier and Gorey out to the otherworldly Écréhous reef — a cluster of granite islets that emerge at low tide — plus dolphin-spotting and coastline cruises. Trips are tide-dependent and seasonal.

Good to know

Tide-dependent. Wear warm waterproof layers — it gets cold and wet on a RIB. Book well ahead in summer.
