The Bonne Nuit Beach Café & Bar

A laid-back beach bar and café right on the slipway at Bonne Nuit harbour, tucked beneath the cliffs with colourful fishing boats pulled up alongside the tables. The vibe is barefoot and unhurried - pints, crab sandwiches, chips and ice creams enjoyed at picnic tables just metres from the water. It's one of the prettiest sheltered swimming spots on the island, so expect a steady flow of swimmers, paddleboarders and sunbathers drifting between the cove and the bar. Families love it for the easy combination of safe swimming and simple food, while the harbour setting - granite slipway, lobster pots, gulls overhead - gives it a proper fishing-village character.

Limited parking; arrive early on sunny days as the small car park fills quickly and the bar can run out of its more popular dishes.
