A cosy granite-walled pub tucked just off Royal Square, with low ceilings, a long bar and the kind of well-worn charm that comes from being a fixture of St Helier's after-work crowd for years. The menu sticks to pub classics done well - burgers, fish and chips, steak baguettes - served at lunchtime and into the evening, making it an easy choice for a quick dinner before heading out. Out the back is a small sun-trap beer garden that few visitors know about, a quiet suntrap for an afternoon pint away from the square's bustle. It works equally well for an after-work pint with colleagues, a casual dinner, or settling in for a relaxed evening.
