Faulkner Fisheries

A working fishmonger by day, fire-pit seafood BBQ by night, set against the concrete bulk of a German-built WWII bunker on the wild, exposed coast at L'Étacq. Tables are scattered across the sand and gravel under strings of lights, and the whole experience is shaped by what was landed that morning - lobster, scallops, crab and whatever else the boats bring in, grilled simply over open coals. There's a real festival atmosphere, and a sense that you're eating somewhere genuinely tied to the sea rather than a polished restaurant. It draws a real mix - groups of friends, couples, seafood obsessives making a pilgrimage - and the informal, BYO-drinks setup keeps things relaxed. Watching the Atlantic surf roll in while a fire crackles and lobster sizzles nearby is about as Jersey as it gets.

BYO drinks. Book ahead in summer as tables go fast, and keep an eye on the forecast - it's an outdoor, weather-dependent setup that can be cancelled in poor conditions.
