Mont Orgueil Castle
A spectacular medieval fortress towering over Gorey Harbour.

One of Jersey's twelve ancient parish churches, set right on the sand of St Brelade's Bay.
St Brelade's Parish Church has stood on this beach-front site since at least the 11th century, its squat granite tower and pink-tinged stonework framing the western end of the bay. The graveyard slopes down toward the sand, and the adjoining Fishermen's Chapel hides one of the island's best collections of medieval wall paintings.
Few churches in Britain sit this close to the sea — sunset light on the granite is unforgettable.
Services on Sundays; visitors welcome outside service times. Quiet, respectful behaviour expected.

Visited with friends. The church is beautiful inside and out with a real sense of peace. We were really impressed with all the groups that meet there and it has inspired us to start our own bible book club. The history is breathtaking and I bought the book detailing it all. Also impressed with the warm welcome signs for all and the prayer for visitors.
A lovely and extremely old church that has charm and hundreds of years of history. Very well maintained, plenty of info to digest and free to enter - if in the area definitely need to visit!
If you in the area go visit this pretty little church with its medieval pictures painted on the ceiling. A wander around the graveyard is a must too....lovely walk to here as well and if the tide is out enough you can walk back along the sand.
