St Brelade 1–2 hours Checked 2025-11
An offshore tower you can walk to — and even sleep in — at low tide.
Sleeping in a sea tower as the tide surrounds you is one of the most extraordinary overnight stays in the British Isles.
Standing two kilometres offshore on Jersey's vast south-east tidal plain, Seymour Tower (1782) is reached on foot at low water across a moonscape of gullies, oyster beds and rockpools. Guided walks visit it; the adventurous can book an overnight stay.
Never attempt the crossing unguided — the tide here comes in faster than walking pace.
