Tucked away near Five Mile Road, Jersey Bowl offers classic ten-pin bowling for all ages. It is a reliable spot for family fun, group outings, or a lively evening, especially when the island weather turns. With a lively atmosphere and plenty to do, it offers a refreshing change of pace from beachside activities.
Five Mile Road, known for its scenic coastal drives and access to St Ouen's Bay, also hides a local institution for indoor entertainment: Jersey Bowl. For decades, this twenty-lane alley has been the island's steadfast answer to a rainy forecast or the simple desire for some competitive leisure. It embodies a particular kind of community spirit, where generations have rolled balls down its lanes, from childhood birthday parties to casual social gatherings. While its focus is unashamedly on the classic game of ten-pin, its enduring popularity speaks to its role as a consistent, accessible, and enjoyable escape from the elements or the everyday. It is a place that feels familiar, a local secret for wholesome, unpretentious fun.
Upon arrival, you will find twenty well-maintained ten-pin bowling lanes, suitable for all skill levels. For younger bowlers or those needing a little assistance, bumpers are available. Beyond the lanes, a small arcade offers additional entertainment distractions before or after your game. There is a licensed bar on site for adult refreshments and a casual diner serving a range of straightforward dishes. Shoe hire is straightforward, available at the reception, making it easy to drop in for a spontaneous game. Many visitors opt for a game or two, perhaps followed by a bite to eat or a drink.
Jersey Bowl is situated just inland from the start of Five Mile Road, in St Peter. It is easily accessible by car, with ample parking available on site. While not directly on the coast, its proximity to the rural west of the island means it is a short drive from many of St Ouen's beaches and coastal paths. Public transport links are less frequent, so a taxi or private vehicle is the most convenient way to reach it.
If visiting on a Friday or Saturday night, it is advisable to book your lane in advance to avoid waiting.
Weekday afternoons are generally quieter, though it serves as an excellent evening option any day, especially during inclement weather.
Book ahead on Friday/Saturday nights. Bumpers available for little ones. Snack bar and full licensed bar on site.

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is exceptional. The environment is spotless, well-maintained, and gives you a genuinely good feeling. The bar is impressively clean and offers a wide variety of drinks. The bowling and gaming area is calm, relaxing, and perfectly arranged so you can fully enjoy your time. The food is outstanding, honestly one of the best quality meals I’ve had in a long time. I’m not comparing it to anywhere else, but the standard here is truly excellent, both in taste and in value for money. The staff are incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful, and the management is absolutely fantastic. You can clearly feel their effort in running the place at a high standard. Overall, a fantastic experience. Highly recommended.
A bit tired and run down, with damaged bowling balls and worn out Lane floors, but still a great place to have fun. The food menu is surprisingly good and competitively priced, especially the freshly made, hand stretched, oven baked pizzas.
I put my coin in the Star Wars arcade game to play we got nothing told it was switched off but there was no sign I then asked if I could get my coin back and she rudely said search for it I began to explain that I wanted my coin back she then raised her voice at me. There food was nice but it didn’t make up for the rude staff.
