It was expensive (I've had Jamaican in central London for almost half the price that also tasted 3 or 4x better, but thus is the island of Jersey) a lot of rice compared to the meat, and my food had many sharp shards of bone throughout it which made me a bit scared while I was eating it (I know people will say "it's meat, duh!" but it was really a lot of small dangerous shards). It was quick to get, only maybe 5 minutes for them to prepare and the packaging was good (cardboard so you can reheat in microwave if needed). The food was bland and underseasoned and didn't have a whole lot of Jamaican vibes or spice to it, but I suspect that is designed for the tepid jersey palate. Overall, it wasn't the worst experience I've ever had by a long shot, but I was still pretty disappointed and felt a little robbed.
I went with my partner and we ordered the jerk chicken and oxtail with the side of festivals. We loved it, especially the oxtail sauce which was rich of flavour. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. We will definitely go back.
Had the jerk pork with plantain and festival and it was delicious!
