A grand Victorian market hall with a fountain at its heart.
The best free sight in town: proper island produce, Victorian architecture and the easiest place to assemble a beach picnic.
Trading since 1882 under a glass-and-iron roof, the Central Market is St Helier's living room — fruit and veg stalls, florists, butchers, cafés and gift stands arranged around an ornate central fountain. The neighbouring Beresford Market handles the fish.
