Mont Orgueil Castle
A spectacular medieval fortress towering over Gorey Harbour.

German WWII coastal artillery battery on the headland at Noirmont Point.
Battery Lothringen was a heavily fortified German naval battery dominating St Aubin's Bay during the Occupation. Bunkers, command posts, fire-control towers and a working 15cm gun emplacement can be explored on the headland, with cliff-edge views across to St Aubin's Fort and Elizabeth Castle.
Most complete WWII coastal battery on Jersey, in a spectacular cliff-top setting.
Bunkers opened by CIOS on selected days; the headland and exterior are free to walk year-round.
Le Chemin de Noirmont, Jersey JE3 8JA
Usually opened on Weekends by the Channel Islands Occupation society. Unique bunker complex, a must visit. Knowledgeable and friendly guides. Be aware, there are no toilets at the site. Highly reccomended.
This bunker complex is only open about four days a year, despite being restored. It's also quite dangerous in places and not suitable for young children. For example, the safety rail at the top of the steps down to one of the ammunition stores is broken and in a dangerous condition. Good luck if you fall down there... The information boards are also badly crazed and difficult to read, or printed in a very difficult to read hazy font. Very disappointing given the importance of this complex, and that it's been restored. Please open it properly and staff it, so that we all might learn, and hopefully not repeat the errors of the past...
Really nice and well restored location with lots of details and stories. Highly recommended.
