The Crab Shack

Buzzy, no-frills seafood shack serving crab sandwiches, fish & chips and ice-cold local beer just steps from the sand of St Brelade's Bay. Picnic tables and a simple covered terrace fill up fast on sunny days with families fresh off the beach, towels still damp, kids in tow. The menu is short and unfussy - fresh local crab is the headline act, alongside daily-changing specials chalked up on a board. It's loud, cheerful and entirely unpretentious, the sort of place where sandy feet and swimsuits are completely normal. Order at the counter, grab a spot outside, and let the afternoon drift by with the bay right in front of you.

Walk-ins possible but expect a queue at peak summer lunchtimes - arrive early or come for a late lunch to avoid the rush.
